Job Title: Dentist
Locations: Farmington, Maine
Job Duties: Performs professional, high-quality general dental services to patients with diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds; Performs high-quality dental health treatment to all who request services; Provides competent and thorough assessment and treatment; Provides referral for specialty care, case management and hygienist care as appropriate; Maintains regulations and licensure; Enhances public image of the organization through professional conduct and appearance; Performs basic dentistry services within professional ability, including, but not limited to: simple and surgical extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays and oral exams; Encourages appropriate services through written treatment plans and referrals; Promotes oral health counseling for patients; Responsible for patient clinical chart recordings, treatment plans; Attends required staff meetings and, as requested, participates in program planning; Preceptor for AEGD residents as assigned while maintaining adjunct faculty status within the parameters and requirements of the program; Provides preventative oral health education; Maintains professional education and knowledge on dental procedures and practices; Complies with and shares in implementation of all OSHA safety and infection control requirements.
Education and Experience: Requires a DMD or DDS degree from an accredited school of dentistry, one year of residency, and State of Maine licensure or eligibility to obtain the same.
