• Exit 75 – Auburn (no toll required)
• Turn left onto RT 202 E, RT 4 N & RT 100 N

The Lewiston Center, located on the south side of Main Street between Lisbon and Park Streets, replaced the Auburn Dental Health Center in 2006 with updated facilities and expanded to seven dental operatories.
Three licensed dentists staff the center with support staff including dental hygienists, dental assistants and patient service representatives. Patients are Community Dental receive compassionate, quality dental care.
A full range of oral health care is provided at the center, including restorations (tooth fillings), crowns, full and partial dentures, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, pedodontics and preventive care (teeth cleanings). All age group are welcome as our patients as well as patients with special needs and people suffering from dental anxiety. Patients with dental emergencies can usually be treated within 24 hours.
We accept most private insurance plans and MaineCare, and a sliding fee scale is available for patients who meet the financial eligibility requirements. Care Credit is also provided to eligible patients as a payment option and we accept all major credit cards for payment.
Community Dental Lewiston works closely with our community partners, including Central Maine Medical Center, to link people to needed oral health services on a timely basis. Our community partners include Common Ties and we partner with community school oral health programs to provide a dental home for students who need services. United Way of Androscoggin County provides funds to provide limited free care to children and adults.
Dental Staff
Christy Yuju Chu, DDS joined the Lewiston Center staff on August 1, 2011. Dr. Chu received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from New York University College of Dentistry in May, 2010. She was a General Practice Dental Resident at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Bronx, NY from July 2010 to June, 2011. She is proficient in English and Chinese with limited Spanish.
Kenneth E. Koenke, DDS joined the Lewiston Center staff in April, 2007. Dr. Koenke received his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1976. Following five years of private practice, Dr. Koenke was commissioned into the United States Air Force in 1982 and served on active duty for 22 years, retiring in 2005 after a nine-month assignment at the Pentagon.
Ronald G. Sawyer, DMD, joined Community Dental's staff in December, 2008.
Dr. Sawyer received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Tuft's University School of Dental Medicine in 1974. From 1974 to 1976 he served with the United States Navy Dental Corps, NAS, Pensacola Florida and from 1976 to 1978 he was Clinical Director of the Jessie Albert Dental Clinic in Bath, Maine. He was in private practice in Bath from 1978 until just before joining Community Dental. Dr. Sawyer has been very active in community service, providing dental screening and dental education to elementary schools for 30 years.
Community Dental also partners with the Arizona School of Dental Health (ASDOH) and Tufts School of Dental Medicine to provide clinical rotation opportunities for fourth year dental students.
The Community
With a population of 42,000, Lewiston is a former industrial center located in south central Maine at the Falls of the Androscoggin River, midway between the state's spectacular coastline and lush mountains. Lewiston is on the I-95 corridor, 45 minutes north of Portland and two hours north of Boston. Located across from Auburn, Lewiston and Auburn are often considered a single entity with a combined population of 60,000.
Named a 2007 All-American City, Lewiston is home to Bates College, the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, and two significant regional hospitals, Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. Other colleges include the University of Southern Maine's Lewiston-Auburn Campus, Central Maine Community College and Kaplan University.
Numerous all-season recreational opportunities abound in the region, including Lost Valley Ski Resort in Auburn.

Community Dental accepts dental most insurance plans, MaineCare, Aspire and patient payment
in the form of cash, check or credit card. Payment for services not covered by State
and Federal benefits programs is requested following each appointment with the dentist
