Located on Rt. 4 in the Mount Blue Health Center on the Campus of Franklin Memorial Hospital, the Farmington Dental Health Center was established in 1997 with four operatories.
A full-time dentist staffs the center with support staff including dental hygienists, dental assistants, and patient service representatives. Dr. Wroble and the staff provide compassionate, quality oral health care services.
A full range of oral health care is provided at the center, including restoration (tooth fillings), crowns, full and partial dentures, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, pedodontics and preventive care (teeth cleanings). Our patient population is diverse and includes all age groups, as well as special needs patients and patients suffering from dental anxiety. Patients with dental emergencies can usually be treated within 24 hours.
We accept most private insurance plans and MaineCare, and a sliding fee scale is available for patients who meet the financial eligibility requirements. Care Credit is a payment option for eligible patients and we accept all major credit cards for payments.
Community Dental Farmington works closely with our community partners, Franklin Memorial Hospital, Franklin Health Pediatrics, Franklin Health Women's Care, and Franklin Health Child and Adolescent Developmental Pediatrics, to provide patient-centered care and link people to needed health services on a timely basis. We provide onsite dental care for Franklin Memorial Hospital's swing bed rooms, as well as Sandy River Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Center. We also provide emergency dental services for the University of Maine's Upward Bound Program and provide volunteer work experience for their students.
Dental Staff
Brian N. Wroble, DMD, joined the Farmington Center staff in July, 2011. Dr. Wroble
received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from Temple University Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia in May, 2011. While at Temple University, he was very active in several community-based dental education outreach programs and he received the Dr. Isadore Auerback Memorial Award for academic record, clinical excellence, and moral character. Dr. Wroble also has a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
The Community
With a population of 7,400, Farmington is located near the foothills of western Maine's mountains. It is centrally located 63 miles northwest of Portland and is a progressive college community, home to the University of Maine Farmington campus.
It is a popular resort destination, known for its outstanding winter sports activities, including snowmobiling and Nordic and alpine skiing. It is less than a 60 minute drive from Sunday River and Sugarloaf, Maine's premier ski resorts.
Its access to area lakes also provide excellent summer and fall hiking, swimming, boating, and camping opportunities. And its stunningly beautiful fall foliage makes it one of the favorite destinations of fall foliage tours.
